Marian Bayne-Poorman, DO, MBA, MS, is an osteopathic physician board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine where she received a dual degree, Masters of Business Administration in Health Care Policy, from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Bayne-Poorman completed her internship and residency in Athens, OH. During her final year of training, she was chief resident. She also has a Master of Science in Environmental Health Sciences from Case Western Reserve University School of Graduate Studies in Cleveland, OH where she was awarded the Herbert S. Rosenkrantz Award for Excellence in Environmental Health Science. Dr. Bayne-Poorman worked in medical research and environmental consulting for several years before discovering her love for medicine and patient care.
While maintaining her osteopathic practice, Dr. Bayne-Poorman trains medical students in osteopathic manipulation as an Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practice at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a member of the Osteopathic Cranial Academy, Indiana Osteopathic Association, Indiana State Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
